These rules are obligatory for all new reactors to be licensed in the United
States

RCC-M Class 1 Transient Range Method |
At the request of a licensee, we have implemented as an option a
less conservative method for calculating stresses due to thermal transients for
Class 1, equation 10, 11 and 13

Fatigue Analysis without Dynamic Load |
The original ASME method for calculating fatigue analysis
required at least one dynamic load case. This requirement did not apply to
non-American codes and has been relaxed for American codes. It is now possible
to calculate fatigue analysis without dynamic loads

PIPESTRESS On-Line html Documentation |
Improvements have been made to the display of the html
documentation which is now been compiled into one Help file. This provides
additional features such as search engine, index and favorites

Resolved Error in Page Control Notation |
PIPESTRESS internally uses FORTRAN page control notation. This
notation is
then converted to ANSI notation. In rare cases, the conversion fails. When this
occurs, the reports are correct but difficult to interpret. This problem has
been
resolved

Identifying Inconsistencies in Tee Attributes |
In some cases, inconsistencies in defining tees were not
detected. This problem
has been resolved

18. |
Error Message for too Many Generated Cases |
The total number of submitted and generated load cases may not exceed 1,000
in PIPESTRESS. If this limit was exceeded, the program failed to inform the user
of the error. This problem has been corrected
|
|
19. |
Error Message for too Many Generated Mass Points |
If more than 999 mass points are generated, an error occurs in PIPESTRESS
which is not correctly documented. This problem has been resolved

Minimum Value of K2r C2r for Class 1 Weldolets |
For Class 1 branch connections, the ASME Code has a rule that in calculating
Sp, the minimum value of K2r C2r = 2.65. This rule was not applied to Weldolets.
Starting with the 2007 ASME Code, the rule now also applied to Weldolets

Option to Suppress SPP and APP Files |
A new TITL card option, R3=1, has been defined to instruct PIPESTRESS not to
generate "spp" and "app" files. These files may be generated off-line using the
utility program READGIF3 with the "gif" file generated by PIPESTRESS as input
