PQAP (PIPESTRESS Quality Assurance Program) has been developed to include all phases of the life cycle of PIPESTRESS and associated programs :

Theoretical background
Operations/maintenance and requirements specifications phase
Software design phase
Coding and software generation phase
Verification and validation phase
Transfer of responsibility phase
Retirement phase, which shall be three years after the next version has been released. This time period may be extended. Error reporting process shall continue for seven years after the next version has been released
